I have been a patient of Dr. Sims for more than ten years and know that his many professional credentials speak for themselves. His periodontal skills are extraordinarily important, but so is his personal and professional commitment to me. Appointment times are consistently maintained, and he is never hurried while in the examination room. Dr. Sims thoroughly explains “things” and answers questions in layman’s language, not medical terms. He has called the evenings after having performed procedures to inquire as to my well-being, which means a lot to me.

I have used Dr Sims more than once and always appreciate his explaining thoroughly my particular dental problem, including his treatment and offering alternatives, when available. Recently, I was faced with a procedure with which I had no experience and only limited knowledge. Almost twenty years ago I was first referred to Dr. Kevin Sims with a severe periodontal condition which Dr. Sims expertly treated. Dr. Sims then placed me on a successful maintenance program which I continue to this day. I have since relocated from the Birmingham area and now drive 160 miles round trip in order to receive continued care from Dr. Sims. Over these years I have also needed his professional knowledge and skills in dental surgery in performing two extractions along with accompanying bone grafts and implants. Dr. Sims’s professional knowledge and skills are matched with a deep personal concern for his patient’s well being and healing as he always follows up with them after any surgical procedure. Dr Kevin Sims has been my Periodontist since 1999. He has totally changed my oral habits. While he has done a lot of work on my teeth, he has also become a good friend. I love visiting the dentist. His entire staff exudes happiness and epitomizes a friendly yet professional atmosphere.
